Had a little bit of a lie-in today - it’s all preparation for the party tonight. Only in Inuvik does one prepare this much for a party. Tonight is actually a party for all those of the group that have a birthday in March – and this includes Lorie. I have already been told that I need to prepare to drive tonight. Someone is planning on having a good time. I suppose I better be a good boy and drive - of course there’s always taxis!
In the afternoon a buddy came over and we had a few beers and watched TV and played some trivial pursuit. We actually encountered a question about Inuvik. The question asked how many traffic lights there were in this town. There is, of course, only one.
